This time I felt compelled to write to you as your articles
are extremely interesting - they challenge what we take for granted, and are supported by solid research - keep up the great work.
Residing in Sydney, Australia, I had previously been to your site once, but this time I came across it while searching for information in relation to the "cholesterol lowering" drug lipitor, as one of my family members recently was prescribed it by the doctor.
After reading your article about Cholesterol and Heart Disease (the one where certain doctors attitudes are paralleled to that of trolls), my mind has become much clearer - I always thought that drugs such as Lipitor will not address the underlying cause of cholesterol. I have always felt that another approach(diet,exercise etc) will be better, but as the $$$ dictates a lot of things today, I sometimes wonder whether doctors in this day and age really make the effort to help patients by starting at the
root of the problem - i.e. not just prescribing medication that temporarily fixes the symptoms of a problem.
I have also realised that doctors are people too, and may not always be fully informed about all major health issues + treatments.
I'd like to ask you something : How could I help spread the vital information on your website ? I never see this kind of information in print, or the media, magazines etc. I believe that the more people know about it, the better informed choices they will make in life regarding health issues. This has the potential to REALLY HELP people rather than going the way of prescription medicines - doctors are not always right, and I feel a lot of people believe doctors when they don't deserve to be believed (in relation to the issues on your website)

Dear Nilesh, Thanks for the nice words. I have one web site which invites people to become "members" at: www.happinessonline.org The same approach as there relates to all my 20,000 pages. I think the best way you can help is simply by, yourself, reading and becoming well informed, and then, Many of my pages have a message, "send the address of this page to a friend." I am putting that on almost all new pages now. You click and then address whatever seems right for someone you know. Start with your phonebook list -- send what you think they would be interested in. I don't think it will help much to send my stuff to doctors or others who are probably closed minded. But, even if many people will not read the stuff, some will, then get them to do the same thing. You can work through the happiness web site where I have a "member" program already established and offer only free books == eventually they will find, or can find, my other writings. I get between 6,000 and 10,000 visitors to my 20,000 pages per day. So, it's going along OK, but the measure of success will be 20,000 visitors soon, etc. You can help. Those who visit?
