Negative Responses -- Messages Section

This page either shows, or links to other pages, where someone responded negatively, either to the web site, or to any message they received or to the receipt of the Books.  It would be of interest to note here that there is little precedent anywhere in the history of TWTH for getting negative feedback.  Generally TWTH has been given to people "on the street" or in such a way that it would be awkward or unlikely that they would refuse it, or make some negative remark.  However, from this web site we have people who have come to the site, for whatever reason, and who cannot cause any effect without some form of communication.

Some might read enough on the web site to disagree and want to voice their disagreement at the first opportunity -- they would NOT ask for the free books, but would simply originate a hostile message.

Another group might ask for the books but then become hostile because of the reply, or any thing else, but before they had received the books.

Another group might receive the books and want to express their hostility at that point, or after.

Since, in all these cases the web offers an easy way to send a message, even with some evidence that it will be read and could, therefore, cause some impact, the hostile person could well be willing to originate a hostile message here where he might not feel that sending a hostile letter to TWTH, or some Church terminal would not be sufficiently direct for his interests.

In any event, I view the examination of hostile and negative responses as a useful tool to understand what is going on in society.

Some of these hostile responses are short enough to simply show the comment on this page.  Others are lengthy enough to warrant a separate page.

message:

Pigghiat' angul

and all the best

Dear Vito,   I would not respond to an insult.   Please write back if your message below was NOT intended to be insulting.   Karl  (source both messages, and address in Italy)

Books not sent to this person (yet)

Note:  This person responded, said that "piggy" was a term of endearment in Italy, and it seems that his first response was not hostile at all.
