The key to success is having and using the right statistics.

The key to success is having and using the right statistics.

There is one page of statistics on web visitors on the public page -- click here.

This page presents some of the statistics that are regularly available related to this web site.

Since this web site starts from a premise that virtually all copies of TWTH that have been distributed in the past have been "thrust in the face" of someone who hadn't been seeking them, or published in a mass media (such as a newspaper) where people may "notice" it, but certainly have not picked up that paper looking for a common sense moral code.

If that is the way that TWTH has been distributed, many millions of copies, then here, on this web page is a revolutionary new approach. This web is designed to attract people who are LOOKING for a common sense moral code, or who are LOOKING for happiness.

When they come to this web site they are reaching for something -- whether it is "moral code,"  "happiness," or even "virtual sex."

It is no longer a question as to whether this -premise works or not.  This web site has had 20,000 visitors during the five months since I started keeping statistics on visitors.  No matter what these visitors were "reaching" for, they found this web site.

Enough of them read enough of some page or pages that I have had more than 1000 requests for the two free copies of TWTH that I offer on this web.  Those who requested the books had to complete a detailed form to show their name, address and other data.

These two statistics would seem to be unique in the history of TWTH.

I have accomplished my first objective -- creating a web that attracts and handles a reach for TWTH.

There is much more to do, but I am keenly working on these further objectives.

Each of the links below features a graphic image.  You can hold your mouse curser over the graphic to read a short summary of the information on the linked page.

Snap Shot Pages for August 25, 2002 to August 31, 2002 -- Statistics

Summary on this page for August 25

Snap Shot Pages for August 29 2002 to September 4, 2002-- Statistics

August 25, 2002:  Of interest here is the bottom report on that linked page. This page shows the "referral source" for the visitors who came to this site. Rather than just "visitors," I have chosen "visitor pages." The difference is that the second term shows not only the number of visitors but also how many pages, average, that source of visitor visited on the web. Some referral sources result in lots of visitors, but these particular visitors typically visit only one page, rather than several. Any time someone stays on the site, and visits several pages, that is a large plus point to a web designer. (The report just above this bottom report shows the number of visitors, without regard to how many pages they viewed. In this report the "no referral" source is the largest.)

These would be the words entered into various search engines where the person then clicked on the link for this web site. Keep in mind that the largest single source of all visits to this we site are referred to as "no referral" which generally means that the visitor simply typed in the address of the web to go to it. This generally would be considered the "word of mouth" type referral.

Technical Explanation For Urchin Reports of Referrals From Same Web

Thus, there are two sources of visitors that have the largest number of pages viewed:

"No Referrals" which generally means that the visitor, himself, entered the address into his browser to come to the web site. That would usually be interpreted as a "word of mouth" visitor.

Visitors from:  http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/anatomy/p5.htmThis referring source is from one of Karl Loren's pages with the title "Wrong Relationships."   That page has the most intense recommendation to visit the Happiness On Line site, and anyone who read much of that page should naturally be very interested in the information described for this web site.  This page is also featured in one of Karl Loren's weekly electronic newsletters with 5,000 subscribers.
