As I read through the book Challenging the Old Order written by J. Peter Rothe searching for topics about Gender Differences in Driving, I found a couple of issues that were discussed on the book. In Chapter One, pages 8-12, the subject of Social Structure was discussed in detail and this is where I found out so many facts about the difference between female and male in general. It was mentioned that:

Two aspects of Social Structure stand out in studies of auto accidents in general and also drinking-driving in particular. These are the differences in gender and age.

Here are some other facts that were mentioned about Gender Differences, in which the main focus is on the Male entity:

• Men in general are far more likely to die of auto accidents than women and are overwhelmingly more likely to be involved in drinking in connection with auto fatalities or in DUI fatalities.
• The overwhelmingly preponderance of men as drinking drivers in both arrest and death records is not a sign of biological weakness, but of the differences in gender activities involved in driving.
• The ubiquitousness of men as the victims of auto accidents is a product of both their name frequent use of automobiles and their inclination to drive in risky situations, such as at night.
• Divorced and single men are more likely to be arrested or to be the victims of drinking-driving crashes than are married men.

I agree with what they said about men driving more often than women do, that's why they are more likely to get into an accident. I think, the reason behind the fact that divorced and single men are more likely to be arrested or victims of drunk driving is because they don't have a family to go home to. They can stay until the wee hours of the morning and consume alcohol beverages until they can't contain it anymore. I mean, nobody is waiting for them at home that's why they're not eager to go home. Another thing is, that's probably the only way they forget about their problems and because they don't have anybody, they feel lonely. One thing I noticed about the topic is there's hardly any informations on women, but there were more issues on age diffences in driving and young drivers in particular.
