I know:

There is a working difference between honesty and truth.

There are degrees of honesty in people but only one truth.

With truthfulness, replies to questions flow with complete thought.

An honest answer also reveals: circumstances; involvement; alternatives; and, finally, choice. BUT is moderated by: need to know, ability to comprehend, and self-preservation.

Therefore: Truth is free flowing response to need without restriction.

Sadly, one may have to re-read that sentence many times to come to grips with its clarity.

I've read a bit on your web page, including:

The wife’s oldest was 20 and a product of rural Alabama schools. He was into drugs and not thinking beyond the next week. Pleasant enough and not really a bother, but he sorely lacked character. He has been stealing things from the house for years before. And when he started stealing my things the wife offered that I was a grown man and should know to lock my stuff up. I did know and I locked everything in the trunk of my car. The wife mentioned divorce – like marriage vows meant nothing – I drove the packed car out of her life.

So, I got into it a bit.

I can see that you have thought a great deal about the word "truth."

I don't happen to find satisfaction in your comments, but I respect that you have thought about it.

That page presents 100 searches with Google, and not a single non-religious, philosophical definition of "truth."

I have some further writing to do.

Your story sounds like a sad one -- that you could well prosper to find more happiness in your life.

Thanks for asking for your two free copies of the book. I call it a "common sense moral code." It is a non-religious moral code -- and should find acceptance within any religion or even among those who don't belong to any religious group. I think you'll find that it is just common sense. But, our society doesn't have a moral code that can appeal to everyone -- this is it.

A copy of this message goes to Kimberly -- she works in my office and she will send out the books right away. I am delighted at the large response I've had for this book, just in the last few days.
