Care For Yourself

A Personal True Story From Karl Loren

Years ago I was a fabulous public speaker -- traveling all over the United States, often paid, to speak at gatherings of all sizes -- usually on heart disease.

(Later I got on my own radio show, but now I feel I can reach more people by writing.)

One of the groups I spoke at almost every year was the Cancer Control Society -- a group of people who were looking for information on cancer therapies that were alternative to chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

The event I'm going to write about was a particular speech I gave to that group, in about 1989 or so.

As background to this, when I had my radio show I brought on as a guest one Mr. Al Carter.  He had written some books about the mini-trampoline.  He also sold them.  I got very excited about the health benefits of using his trampoline.

I still have one and use it every day.  I can tell you many of the ways to use it and how much benefit you can get from using one.

His trampoline was very sturdy, and he sold it for about $250.  He made a fairly large profit on a sale at that price.

One of his books was about how jumping on the trampoline could be a very good cancer preventative -- he explained this in very scientific detail.  It had to do with moving the lymph fluids in the body, by jumping, and the fact that as the lymph fluids move regularly the immune system cells would be multiplied greatly -- thus defeating cancer at the very beginning.

He was a regular speaker at the Cancer Control Society, as was I.

One particular date were both speaking at this meeting -- different times.

Just prior to this time I happened to be going through KMart, and I found a cheap, but usable trampoline on sale for $29.95.

I could see that it was not as good as the one I bought for $250, but I also knew that many people would much prefer to buy the cheap one.

I knew, in particular, that many of the people at the meetings of the Cancer Control Society had spend all their money on evil things, like the slash/burn/poison technology of modern medicine.

They would have cancer, spend all the money they could get on harmful treatments, out of ignorance of the truth.

THEN they would scrape up enough money to come to the Cancer Control Society Meeting.

There they would see Al Carter, pitching his trampoline to prevent cancer, with all sorts of scientific proof, and exact instructions on how to jump, etc.

How many people do you think would listen to Al, and then go to KMart to buy the cheap knockoff?

I decided that I would take my entire speaking opportunity to firmly lecture to the more than 1000 people who were there, that they had a moral duty TO THEMSELVES to buy their trampoline (at $250) from the source that gave them hope and help with their cancers.

To buy at KMart was just like stealing.

Al Carter, of course, soon went out of business because people bought the KMart cheapie.

But, KMart also quit selling trampolines soon enough because they were NOT trying to educate the public about it.

They were stealing the intellectual property of Al Carter.

Not illegal!  Just immoral.

So, when it comes to "taking care of yourself," you have a moral duty to acknowledge that information is more valuable than pills.

You may, but you should not, get the information from one source, and then go looking for the cheapest possible source of the stuff being sold by the guy from whom you stole the information.

Information is extremely valuable.

A great deal of the information on health that you find on the net?  it is fraudulent and free.

How do you tell the difference between the free fraud and the free good stuff?

Well, that is the job of learning how to be moral on this issue.

Once you have found an honest source of information, you have a moral duty to find some way to exchange with him -- not steal his ideas and buy your pills from a thief.

This is very strongly worded, and you won't find anything so harsh in the two free books which I am glad to send you.  In fact, frankly, this would be a very advanced state of morality to take this on for yourself.  But, you can!

You need to take care of yourself -- do it honestly.

You should not steal!  Recognize the type of stealing it is to buy your trampoline at KMart after hearing Al talk about preventing cancer by jumping on the trampoline.

Am I treading on your toes?

Well.

Cordially,

Karl Loren
